Our Church Family on Mission

spacer

On Saturday, November 17,  our church family put on a Thanksgiving meal for approximately 70 foreign university students in San Francisco at the International Friendship House, a ministry run by Dr. Kevin Ong and his wife, Sieu Choo. Here are some of the pictures of that evening:

We arrived early to set out the food prepared by many of our church members:

Our young adults were a dynamic part of having everything done on time:

Sieu Choo Ong was our hostess for the evening:

Thanks to Dede, Melissa, Sharon, and seven other members of our church family, the work was light:

Ron Nelson and Dr. Kevin Ong set up the projector for a "Trip to Guatemala" thanks to the young women who went on a missions trip to Guatemala City last summer:

Sharon to Allison: "You take the stuffing and shove it right up the turkey's . . . "

Three beautiful young ladies made the evening a delight for all:

The students start to arrive:

On your marks, get set, eat!

Kevin seems happy.

Everyone gathers for the program.

Sharon, Julia, Heather, and Allison share about the country of Guatemala. The students seem very interested.

Pumpkin racing is not an Olympic sport, but maybe it will catch on by the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Thanks to Neal, popcorn racing was a hit of the evening:
